JOTA-JOTI is the largest Scouting and Guiding event in the world. In 2014 over 1.3 million Scouts and Guides participated across 157 countries. The event is held the third weekend of October; for 2017 the Jamboree takes place on 20th , 21th & 22th October.

JOTA-JOTI activities have two parts JOTA which is done on Amateur or ham radio and JOTI which is done on the internet. Persons taking part in JOTA-JOTI activities can also take part in themed activities as well as investigations of areas of science and technology. it is ok to combine JOTA-JOTI activities with other camps such as Pre jamboree and region camps, but always keep in mind JOTA-JOTI is a World Organization Of Scouting and Guiding Movement (WOSM) event
